Adam and Eve had many advantages, but the principal one was that they escaped teething. ~Mark Twain
Tales from Teething Town (a.k.a Hot Springs, AR)
We arrived on Sunday afternoon, June 27, and settled in for a relaxing vacation...but soon after arriving a very cranky and drooling Bethany opened her mouth to reveal the culprit of our previous nights' sleep deprivation, a tooth was poking through! Yes, my sweet girl is teething! And now, as of Friday, she has two bottom teeth all the way through and another on the bottom working its way up (And her two front teeth look like their not going to wait much longer as well!)
I can't believe my baby is growing up! She's also being a risk taker and standing up for a few seconds without holding on to anything! And no, I didn't help her do this, she did it all on her own Ms. Independent self!
The question of the day is, how long does teething take? These sleepless nights are getting to be a routine that I'm not enjoying all that much...But it's so much easier knowing there is a REASON why she's waking up in the night again (my girl is growing up too quickly!) Have any advice on how to stop this? A shrinking pill? Does Walgreens sell a bottle of Pishsolver (the potion that Alice drinks in Wonderland)? What about a brick? Though I've heard that doesn't work...oh well...guess I'll have to let her grow up!
